Look to the mountains as three of our area's historic fire towers light up the night. Fire Towers will be illuminated as part of the annual Light Up the Night event organized by the New York State Chapter of the Forest Fire Lookout Association. This special event honors the history of New York's fire towers and the observers who once staffed them, watching over and protecting our forests and communities. Residents and visitors are encouraged to find a safe viewing location and look toward the mountains to catch a glimpse of these historic Adirondack landmarks shining after dark.
